Since the import of US pork containing ractopamine began on January 1st, news reports have surfaced that multiple restaurants and retail chains (such as Carrefour) have been returning the “Taiwan Pig Emblems” they previously applied for from the DPP government.
While everyone is still fearful of ractopamine-laden pork coming in to poison Taiwan’s children, the Taiwan Pig Emblem might be the fastest government-issued label in the world to lose its public credibility.
I wonder if Su Tseng-chang, Chen Chi-chung, Tsai Ing-wen, or Chen Shih-chung of the DPP government are interested in submitting this administrative achievement for a Guinness World Record?
